Embers of Heart

The beauty of love does not fade.. but it can burn out, leaving behind only ashes and echoes. These poems wander through the wreckage of affection, searching for what remains.

Burning Ashes

Through the fleeting dusk, And dawning light, A touch that haunts, In the endless night. The traces remained, In the empty space, His silence alive, As his voice remained. The ashes stayed, Of a love unclaimed, Sorrows hid in shadows, Where he should have stayed. He was a dream that slipped, Like sand from my grip, A fire now extinguished. When his spark burnt in bright flames.

Serenity Undone

In the darkness of an endless night, He shone bright, like moonlight, Yet his sparks burned too bright, And he disappeared, Like a star who died. His warmth still lingers, An embrace still alive, A tranquil he left, As his laughter survived. A beauty with scratches, Tormented by his scars, A soul untamed, In a fierce trance. Yet his traces smudged, And his memories blurred, As he stood by hope, Coming undone. A serene light blazes, That sparkles as him, A beauty unnamed. A serenity undone.

White Oak Tree

Along the river bank, I treaded alone, Hand in hand with memories, Of two happy souls. My mind is drowning, Deeper in the ocean, Ocean full of Amber eyes, Looking back and loving me, Like the sky that loves the sea. In the gardens we walked, With emerald like leaves, Where nothing shone brighter, Than your smile, one so deadly. I render my thoughts, To those secret memories, Of what our life could have been, Under the White Oak Tree.
